USC has joined the long list of offers for DL Montravius Adams of Vienna, GA. “Coach Botkin is a nice guy and has communicated with him,” Dooly County coach Jimmy Hughes said of USC recruiter Kirk Botkin. “They kind of got in late.”
Clemson was an early offer for Adams and he’s visited there three times since last summer. “He always enjoys his time there,” Hughes said. “He thinks a lot of Coach Swinney and has a good relationship with Coach Caldwell.”
There are others strong with Adams. “Georgia is the state school and is in the hunt,” Hughes said. “Auburn and AlabamaAlabama was one of the first to recruit him and offer. They are in the mix along with Florida.” Ohio State also called about Adams today.
Adams is going to Alabama Saturday, Florida next Saturday and to Georgia March 3rd. And he might take a visit to Florida State at some point. Besides Clemson, Adams also has been to Auburn.
There is no timetable for a decision but he will narrow his list in the summer. “No one has been ruled out,” Hughes said. “He is really intrigued by Southern Cal.”
