The Goose Creek state championship football team was honored Thursday at the State House, and while in Columbia the team stopped by USC for a closer look.
The Gamecocks are one of the strong players for the Gators’ top prospect, ATH Tramel Terry. “We went to the State House and took some pictures, then went out to eat at Coach Reedy’s favorite restaurant,” Terry said. “Then we went to the stadium (Williams-Brice) and watched some player run the 40 getting ready for pro day.”
Terry said he also talked to some coaches. “They talked to me for a little bit, just about how I would be a first rounder like Gilmore,” he said.
Terry had previously planned to go to Clemson’s junior day Saturday but said he’s not sure he’ll be going. And he said he’s not sure when he’ll make a decision.
USC, Clemson, Florida and Georgia are four strong schools with him.
