One day after completing one of the worst seasons in school history, and with the future of head coach Darrin Horn in doubt, USC basketball coaches hit the recruiting trail Friday.
According to a source, assistant coach Micheal Boynton went directly to Texas to scout junior college prospects. And Boynton is scheduled to fly to New York Saturday to visit with 6-3 Thaddeus Hall of Brooklyn.
The Gamecocks have one signee for the 2012 class in 6-9 Tyrone Haughton of Miami. They have three more scholarships available at this point.
That will be reduced to two if Bruce Ellington decides to play only basketball and comes off his football scholarship.
