The son of former NFL star cornerback Al Harris currently favors USC and could have a final decision by the end of summer. Al Harris Jr. of Fort Lauderdale said Thursday he wants to visit all of his favorites this summer and then make his decision. Those favorites would be USC, Florida State, Arkansas, NC State, Wisconsin and Louisville.
Harris Jr. is in touch with USC recruiter Grady Brown and will make USC his first visit. The trips will take place between June 12th and June 24th. "I like the scheme they run and I like that they are successful," Harris Jr. said in explaining why he favors USC over the others. "Their secondary has been doing very well. The SEC has some good competition and they throw it a lot, and that's a plus. And coach Brown is a very good coach."
USC was the first major offer for Harris Jr. "They have been at the top from the very start," he said.
Last season Harris Jr. had 22 tackles and 1 interception. He said he normally plays against the opponent's best receiver.
