LB Ricky DeBerry Jr. of Richmond is one of the nation's top prospects for 2015 with nearly 50 offers at this point. He visited Clemson for the Georgia game to open the season and he will visit USC for the Clemson game to close out the season.
His father said Sunday night his son plays his games on Saturdays and that's kept him from getting out to see many games this season. But he was at North Carolina this past Saturday and plans to go to Virginia Tech and Penn State the next two weekends. An Oregon recruiter is coming for a visit and an offer is expected to be made. DeBerry is hoping to get out to Eugene in December.
DeBerry has never been to USC so he wants to get a good look at the campus and the academic side of things on his trip. He was at Clemson last summer and again for the Georgia game and he holds the Tigers in high regard at this point.
DeBerry has not narrowed his list and has no favorites according to his dad. One of the measuring sticks is the style of defense each school plays. DeBerry Jr. wants to be in attacking style of defense and in a position where he's given the chance to rush the quarterback and disrupt play in the backfield.
DeBerry is not planning to make his decision until the end of next year.
