Junior DL Albert Huggins of Orangeburg-Wilkinson will make his first appearance at a USC game this season when the Gamecocks host Clemson Saturday. Huggins has only made it to one other game this season when he witnessed the Clemson-Florida State game in October.
Interest level is building in Huggins who already has several offers and is looking to add more. "I hope they offer," Huggins said. "The more offers I have, the more opportunities I have. If they don't offer, it's OK, but it does give me the chance to explore more options."
The schools he was speaking of are Notre Dame, Southern Cal, Georgia Tech, Arkansas, Indiana, Miami, Ole Miss an Mississippi State. His list of offers include USC, Clemson, Florida State, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Louisville, Georgia, NC State, North Carolina, Auburn and SC State.
With his season over, Huggins has begun to think about what visits he could take in the off-season. "It's just me thinking," he said, "but I would like to go to Alabama or Georgia for a camp."
Huggins said that Clemson, USC, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida State appear to be showing the most interest in him. He does not have any favorites.
