WR Tyshun Samuel of Chapman will not wait until his birthday December 14th to make his college football commitment announcement.
That will actually be made this Thursday at 4:30 PM at his school his coach said Monday. And USC is expected to be the recipient of that commitment.
USC recruiters Shawn Elliott and Steve Spurrier Jr. were by the school Monday.
"They were just checking in and went back over their plans and what they thought of him as a player," coach Mark Hodge said. "He's excited about what they are talking about. He's going to take a few days off and verify things and then go ahead and make his decision."
Samuel is a Shrine Bowl selection and one of the state's most exciting players. This season he had 61 catches for 1,184 yards and 15 touchdowns, and he also rushed for 13 touchdowns and scored two more on pass interceptions.
