USC recruiter Grady Brown met Tuesday with OL Kareem Are of Fort Scott JC, KS to make one more pitch before Are makes a decision Monday. "We went over things that I already know," Are said. He met Wednesday with his Penn State recruiter, Nittany Lions line coach Mac McWhorter.
Are has USC, Penn State and Florida State all even at this point and is considering visiting Ole Miss this weekend. He hopes to make a decision tonight regarding that trip. "I might still visit so I'll make the decision without any regrets," he said.
His mom is consulting him on his decision and USC assistant Deke Adams recently visited with her in Long Island. "She's kind of confused right now," Are said adding that he is too. "If I had a favorite,' he said, "I would commit."
One factor for Are regarding Florida State is their involvement with two other junior college offensive lineman, Jordan Prestwood and Chad Mavety. The Seminoles could land both making it unlikely they will take three JUCO linemen in the class.
