Defensive back Wesley Green of Lithonia, Ga., came out of his official visit with USC last weekend citing the Gamecocks as his favorite. On Tuesday his coach that's really nothing new with Green.
The former Gamecock commitment, the coach said, has always had USC at the top of his list.
"I think he had a great trip this weekend, he really enjoyed it," Cortez Allen said. "His dad got a chance to sit down with Coach Spurrier and I think all that went well. I don't know that the status has changed much. South Carolina is still kind of where they are and we'll see in another week or so. That's always been his feeling on it. South Carolina was kind of it and Georgia was in there strong. That's kind of still where he is."
USC head coach Steve Spurrier is to make his in home visit with Green on Thursday.
Georgia's new defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt visited last week and is expected back this week.
Green will take his official visit to Georgia January 31st.
