USC will play host to several of its own commitments for official visits this weekend, and will have official visits from highly coveted recruits not committed to it.
The Gamecocks' targets planning official visits are RB Johnny Frasier of Princeton, NC, WR Darius Slayton of Norcross, GA and WR Christian Owens of Griffin, GA.
Frasier's coach Derrick Minor confirmed his plans for the official visit this weekend. Frasier has a playoff game tonight and will come to Columbia Saturday. Frasier, who is regarded as the top running back prospect in North Carolina and one of the best in the country, is committed to Florida State. He's also taken an official visit to Tennessee.
Slayton has also taken official visits to Tennessee and Georgia and will choose from one of the SEC schools. His decision will come soon after his visit to USC.
Owens is a former Georgia commitment but is now a strong Gamecock lean and is likely to commit on his visit.
Committed Gamecocks scheduled for official visits are LB Sherrod Pittman, OL Paris Palmer, WR Jerad Washington, LB Jalen Henry and DB Jaire Alexander.
Two key linebacker targets for USC, Amonte Caban of Smiths Station, AL and Daniel Fennell of Loganville, GA plan to be at Saturday's game on unofficial visits.
