The state's top senior high school basketball player and a top 25 national prospect, USC signee PJ Dozier of Spring Valley, had arthroscopic surgery recently on his right knee according to his coach and father Perry Dozier. That's the same knee on which Dozier had ACL surgery last year that cost him his junior season.
Perry Dozier said this procedure was to "clean up some pieces" in the meniscus cartilage. Dozier has not yet been cleared by doctors though though his father said he feels fine and ready to play. He is hopeful his son will be cleared for their December 2nd opening game.
Perry Dozier also confirmed his 6-7 junior standout Jordan Bruner also had arthroscopic surgery recently to repair meniscus damage in his right knee suffered during a recent scrimmage. Dozier said Bruner will be out at least a couple of months.
