South Carolina WBB commit lands on McDonald’s All-American roster
Dawn Staley and the South Carolina women’s basketball program will, once again, be represented in the McDonald’s All-American game.
Gamecock commit Jerzy Robinson will lead the Girls West roster, announced Monday on ESPN. Robinson, who plays her preps ball at Sierra Canyon in California, is a five-star guard and ranked No. 5 in ESPN’s Top 100 for the class of 2026.
The girls’ McDonald’s All-American game will be played at the Diamond Desert Arena on place in Glendale, Arizona on March 31. The game will be televised on ESPN2 at 5:30pm.
Robinson becomes the latest in a long line of Gamecocks to earn McDonald’s All-American honors.
Staley has coached 29 McDonald’s All-Americans during her 18-year tenure at South Carolina. Of those, 22 signed as freshmen. Robinson, who has not signed with South Carolina yet, will become the 30th McDonald’s All-American to be coached by Staley.
South Carolina’s current roster includes eight former McDonald’s All-Americans in Maryam Dauda, Joyce Edwards, Raven Johnson, Tessa Johnson, Ta’Niya Latson, Agot Makeer, Maddy McDaniel and Ayla McDowell.
In 2024, Edwards was named the co-MVP of the McDonald’s All-American game after she scored 19 points in the game.
Robinson is one of three players in South Carolina’s 2026 recruiting class. She’s joined by five-star forward Kaeli Wynn (ranked No. 17) and four-star forward Kelsi Andrews (ranked No. 18).
