WHAT SHE ACCOMPLISHED: Named to S.C. High School Soccer Coaches Association Class 3A all-state team...Scored 44 goals to lead state in scoring...School’s all-time leading goal scorer.

The best five things that happened to me this season:

1. Playing beside my best friend, Courtney Shumpert, up top.

2. Being region champs.

3. Winning our tournament.

4. Beating Brookland-Cayce two times.

5. Scoring in the second Brookland-Cayce game off of a corner kick.

THE TEAM

FORWARDS

CASI JONES, AIRPORT | Scored 44 goals and24 assists to become the Eagles’ all-time leading scorer. Led state in scoring.

COURTNEY SHUMPERT, AIRPORT | Scored 26 goals and pitched in 17 assists. Finished with 80 career goals and was named to all-state and South Carolina all-star teams.

RANDALL DOMINGUEZ, BROOKLAND-CAYCE | Senior helped lead Bearcats to state semifinals and was named to the all-region team.

MIDFIELDERS

HEATHER SHUMPERT, AIRPORT | Scored nine goals and made 10 assists. Named to South Carolina all-star team.

ELLISON SHARPE, DREHER | Senior scored 33 goals and was named to the all-state team.

SARAH JOHNSON, BROOKLAND-CAYCE | Named to all-region team.

DEFENDERS

REBECCA BAKER, AIRPORT | Defensive leader helped the squad to 15 shutouts, and contributed one goal and two assists from sweeper position. Named to all-region team.

AMANDA STEFFEN, BROOKLAND-CAYCE | Named to all-region team.

LAURA BACKMAN, AIRPORT | Scored one goal and made six assists. Named to all-region and North-South all-star teams.

BECCA O’CONNELL, DREHER | Named to all-state team.

KEEPER

LAYLA NEAL, CHAPIN | Posted 10 shutouts and allowed just one goal in playoffs. Named to all-region and all-state teams.
