Site: Eagle Stadium. Time: Thursday, 7:30 p.m.

Lugoff-Elgin notes: The Demons opened the season with an impressive 34-6 win over White Knoll … Phillip Osborne rang up 124 yards rushing on 13 carries, while Trent Hudson finished with 94 yards on just six carries and scored three touchdowns … Campbell Connell led the defensive charge with 15 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and one caused fumble. Ryan Wannamaker had 12 tackles, including three TFL, and Steve Bonaparte was credited with 10 stops … L-E finished with 355 total yards, and limited the Timberwolves to a meager 155 yards. The Demons were particularly adept running the ball, and stopping the run – 315 yards for, 15 against.

Airport notes: The Eagles fell behind 7-0 to archrival Brookland-Cayce in the first quarter last week at The Cage, but came away with a 21-7 victory … Quarterback W.T. Murden hit on 10 of 18 passes for 133 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 73 yards on 14 carries. Ryan Smith led the team with 80 yards rushing on eight carries, and scored the other Airport TD. Derek Cushman led all receivers with six catches for 77 yards and one score. Tyler Sturkie had the other scoring catch … Michael Matthews and Miquel Cokley led the Eagles hit parade on defense with 12 and 11 tackles, respectively. Chris Phillips had eight tackles and one sack. L.A. Brown and Even Kenley had one interception apiece … Career tackler leader Rashaad Hampton did not play.

Series history: Lugoff-Elgin won 34-10 in the first meeting of the teams in 2004, but the Eagles have not faltered since then. Airport beat the Demons for the third year in a row last season by a 21-7 count.
