Crestwood notes: The Knights rebounded from a season-opening loss to hammer visiting Blythewood 41-7 last week at home. Crestwood rang up 548 yards on offense with 520 coming on the ground … Terrence Wilson was the headliner, running for 225 yards and two touchdowns on just 16 carries. Quarterback Treginald Wilson had 88 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns and on two-point conversion … Marquise Parker and Darius Wallace had the highlight numbers on defense. Parker had 11 tackles, including two tackles for loss. Wallace had nine total tackles and three sacks … For the season Terrence Wilson has 347 yards rushing and scored five TDs, while brother Treginald had 207 yards rushing, 88 yards passing and scored 26 points. Parker has team-high totals in tackles (26) and TFL (6). Wallace had 18 tackles, including five TFL and four sacks.
Manning notes: The Monarchs are off to an impressive, 2-0 start with lopsided wins over C.E. Murray (46-0) and Marion (40-6) … Manning is more of ground-oriented team this fall with 637 rushing yards on the books and just 79 through the air … Jason Witherspoon is the big gun with 258 yards rushing and five touchdowns on 34 carries. Quarterback Brandon Miller is jusy 7-for-18 passing for 79 yards and two interceptions, but he has 193 rushing yards and two TDs on just 19 attempts … On defense Sayyid Davis has graded out at 91% and has 22 tackles. Carter Elms is next with 20 tackles. John Fulton and Marcus Lloyd have two interceptions apiece.
Series history: Manning won three of the first four meetings, but the Knight have taken command of the series by winning five of six games since 2002. Crestwood came away with a wild 56-38 decision last season.
