Ridge View notes: The Blazers (1-1) were handed a 45-20 loss last week by Byrnes, the No. 1 team in the nation … Jalen Perry has completed 10 of 21 passes for 106 yards in his two starters at quarterback. Senior Bucky Kennedy is the top runner with 112 yards on 21 carries … Alonzo Greene and Keith Jones have been quite active on defense. Greene leads the team with 12 tackles and has one sack. Jones has two pass deflections and two pass interceptions.

Dutch Fork notes: The Silver Foxes (1-1) bounced back from a tough opening-season loss to Berkeley by blasting Spring Valley 43-0 in their home opener … Bill Kimrey used the romp to get a good look at a number of players. Brandon Quattlebaum, for instance, had 112 yards rushing on 14 carries, while backup quarterback Matt Radford connected on 10 of 14 passes for 137 yards and one touchdown … For the season, Tavarris Counts is the top rusher with 170 yards and two TDs on 29 carries and also leads the team with nine receptions for 68 yards. Starting quarterback Justin Suber is 21-for-42 passing for 181 yards and one score and has run for 94 yards and two TDs … R.J. Turnipseed, Marshall Williams and Jordan Olmstead share the team tackle lead with eight stops apiece.

Series history: Both teams have won six games in this series between 1990s suburban expansion schools from opposite ends of Columbia. Ridge View evened the series with the first shutout win by either side, 17-0.
