Richland NE notes: The Cavaliers let one slip away last week against Hartsville. Two turnovers late in the fourth quarter allowed the Red Foxes to slip out of Harry Parone Stadium with a 35-34 upset … Hartsville went ahead on a fumble recovery return and sealed the deal with an interception in the end zone with 11 seconds to go … Quarterback Kersean Wilson went 18-for-32 for 274 yards and two touchdowns in the passing game, and receiver Kenny Upshaw had four receptions for 155 yards and one TD, but the RNE ground game managed just 80 yards … Wilson has connected on 28 of 48 passes for 350 yards in two games. Gee Gee Greene has 163 yards rushing and three TDs.
Blythewood notes: The Bengals (0-2) surrendered 462 rushing yards in a 41-7 loss last week to Crestwood. It was something of a historic verdict, marking the first time a Blythewood team had ever lost back-to-back games … While the defense was yielding 484 total yards, the Bengals attack managed just 38 yards rushing, and four yards passing … C.J. Edwards leads the team in rushing with 105 yards and two touchdowns, and is also the top receiver with six catches for 50 yards. Torrence Daniel is 12-for-29 passing for 182 yards … Anthony Tyler has been the Bengals defensive standout with 18 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, one quarterback hurry and one fumble recovery.
