Football: Wilson at Camden

Site: Zemp Stadium. Time: 7:30 p.m.

Wilson notes: The Tigers (3-3) are playing strictly for pride these days after an ugly post-game brawl with Lake City in the first week of the season resulted in both teams being banished from state playoff consideration. The defending Class 3A champions from Florence can’t even make a run at the Region 6-3A title … Wilson bombed Lakewood 46-7 last week, out-gaining the Gators 481 yards to 169 … Quarterback Richard Cue went 8-for-17 passing for 321 yards and four touchdowns. Bivins Elliott caught three passes for 177 yards and two TDs. Anthony Green had 87 yards rushing and two scoring runs.

Camden notes: The Bulldogs (3-3, 0-1) were dominated by Crestwood last week in a 35-7 loss in the region opener. Camden finished with just 73 yards on offense, and had no answer for Crestwood’s power running game … Chris Outten and Roland Johnson had 12 tackles apiece last week. Outten leads the team with 55 tackles this season, while Johnson has 50 stops, seven tackles for loss and two sacks. Jerel Robinson also has seven TFL and two sacks.

Series history: The series resumes after a two-season break. Camden has won four of the five previous meetings, but the teams split their two prior region outings (2002-03).
