Site: Stallion Stadium. Time: 7:30 p.m.

Keenan notes: The Raiders (5-2, 1-1) rebounded nicely from a drubbed by top-ranked Central to even their Region 4-2A record with a 34-21 win last over Andrew Jackson … It was the Arthur Goforth Show. The senior running back darted for 241 yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries, and also caught two passes for 27 yards … The other Raiders offensive touchdown came on a scoring pass from Antonio Perry to Marvin Poole. Perry went 7-for-15 pass for 89 yards, but was intercepted three times. Poole had three catches for 41 yards … Goforth is closing in on a 1,000-yard rushing season. He enters this week’s game with 962 yards and 11 TDs on 11 carries. He also has 10 catches for 146 yards … Perry is 73-for-136 for 925 yards and eight scores to date, while Poole has 37 catches for 520 yards and six TDs.

Lee Central notes: The Stallions (1-6, 0-2) took a 48-0 beating at the hands of mighty Central last week … Lee Central’s only success this season came against first-year Calhoun Falls Charter. The Stallions have only two wins in 16 games since closing out the 2006 regular season with back-to-back region wins, one of which was a forfeit.

Series history: Friday marks the first football meeting of the two schools which have made their athletic reputations in basketball.
