CC: Frady, Falcons fourth at SCISA finals

Hunter Frady’s fourth-place run helped the Ben Lippen cross country team finish in fourth place at the SCISA Class 3A cross county championship meet Saturday at Heathwood Hall.

Frady bounced back from a disappointing showing in 2007 when he finished in 34th place. He was 11th in 2006 while helping the Falcons win their eighth straight SCISA championship.

Frady clocked in at 17 minutes, 45.90 seconds, finishing behind runaway champion Trey Parker of Wilson Hall and the St. Joseph’s brothers tandem of Joshua and Brad Benore.

The solid team performance featured good runs by Thomas Fisher (12th, 18:03.42), Allen Reinhard (25th, 19:00.65) Ben Manish (33rd, 19:34.99) and Luke Marr (37th, 19:54.37).

The BL girls team finished in eighth-place with 213 points. Mary Clay (33rd, 23:36.51), Allison Amick (34th, 23:38.49) and Elizabeth Elliott (35th, 23:38.97) led the way.
