Both Fairfield Central and Lugoff-Elgin have fallen to front-running Chester. The Cyclones can wrap up the No. 1 region with a win over A.C. Flora this week. The only way Friday’s winner can have a shot at winning the region title is for Chester to drop its final two regular season outings.

All of the scoring came after the extended halftime break … Grayson Quick broke the ice with a 37-yard field goal in the third quarter, followed by 37- and 36-yard touchdown runs by Phillip Osborne. Osborne finished with 168 yards on 26 carries. In the process, the senior became L-E’s first 1,000-yard rusher in seven years … The defense limited LR to 67 yards.
