Irmo’s Raheema Hodges ran to the Region 5-4A champions Wednesday at Lexington while leading the Irmo girls cross country to a second-place finish behind Dutch Fork.
Hodges turned in time of 18 minutes, 49.72 seconds on the way to victory. Teammate Sananna Radenbaugh also earned all-region recognition with a fifth-place finish with a time of 19:43.64. Carly Cox (16th, 21:01.0), Anna Buford (18th, 21:13.08 and Kaitlen Brown (19th, 21:15.07) closed out the Yellow Jackets scoring.
Andrew Jordan and Andy Roof rated all-region billing by finishing fourth and sixth, respectively, for the third-place Irmo boys. Jordan clocked in at 16:49.95, Roof at 17:04.09.
Danny Holden (13th, 17:23.34), Jack Lewis (14th, 17:24.53) and Aaron Sirko (19th, 17:59.65) also contributed to Irmo’s team score of 56 points.
