A.C. Flora’s run of success in girls golf continued this fall when the Falcons closed out the campaign with a third-place finish and a score of 316 strokes at the Class 3A state championship tournament.
It was the second straight third-place effort for ACF after a runner-up performance in 2006 that stands as the high-water mark for the program.
Alex Van Dine led the Falcons at state, shooting 73 to finish in a tie for fourth place and rate all-state recognition. Collins Bradshaw (76), Lauren Dunbar (81) and Virginia Lesslie (86) all contributed to the team score. Mary Augenstein also played at state, but did not figure into the team scoring.
Bradshaw finished 12th individually, and was one shot shy of earning all-state status for the second year in a row.
