Alaundrias Riley and Damien Johnson both had double-doubles as Swansea opened the boys basketball season with a 50-47 road win at Hammond School on Dec. 3. The Tigers have their home opener tonight against Hunter-Kinard-Tyler.
Riley, a 6-5 junior center, scored 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, while Johnson, a 6-2 senior power forward added 14 points and 10 boards to the cause. Riley converted 12 of his 18 field goal attempts, while Johnson went 6-for-10 from the field.
Otherwise, the Tigers did not have a great shooting night. In the end Swansea was 0-for-6 from 3-point range and was a dreadful 8-for-23 at the free-throw line.
