Mid-Carolina’s boys basketball team upped its record to 3-1 with a 67-57 win over McCormick on Wednesday night.
The Rebels led 31-22 at halftime, saw the Class 1A Chiefs pull within 46-42 at the end of the third quarter but put the game away with a 20-13 advantage in the fourth quarter.
Krishawn Holley emerged with a double-double (17 points, 12 rebounds) to lead the way for M-C. Hubert Wicker had a fine all-around game with 15 points, seven assist and six rebounds. Mac Lake and C.J. Edwards also made key contributions. Lake had 15 poingts, three steals and blocked one shot, while Edwards scored 10 points. Kendrelle Neal chipped in six points and six boards.
The Rebels return to action Friday at home against neighboring Chapin. M-C opened the regular season with a 55-47 win over Chapin in Prosperity on Dec. 2.
