Rashawn Carroll’s double-double led Richland Northeast to a 60-52 win over Ridge View on Wednesday in the Chick-fil-A Classic Division II third-place game.
Carroll finished with 18 points on 7-for-14 shooting from the field and grabbed 11 rebounds to headline the RNE effort. The host Cavaliers (8-4) emerged as the only Midlands entry to finish with a winning record at the elite holiday tournament – winning two of three games.
Malcom Rhett, who was named to the all-tournament team, contributed eight points and a game-high 14 rebounds to the Cavs cause, and Daris Crosby chipped in eight points and seven rebounds.
Jarvis Davis had 20 points, six rebounds and three assists for the Blazers (2-7), while Jamie Portee had 11 points, six rebounds and two steals.
