The C.A. Johnson girls basketball team beat Bamberg-Ehrhardt 38-24 on Saturday in the third=place final at the Hawk Invitational holiday tournament in Blackville.

Jamie Corbett led the Green Hornets to the consolation prize by scoring a game-high 21 points. Whitney Brown chipped in 15 points for CAJ. Logan Futick did not hit double-digits vs. the Red Raiders, but she was the Green Hornets representative on the all-tournament team.

C.A. Johnson returns to action on Jan. 6 at Wagener-Salley for a Region 4-1A contest. The Green Hornets are off to a 2-0 start in conference play, downing Ridge Spring-Monetta (32-30) and Fox Creek (52-24) prior to the holiday break.
