Viking girls romp to 10th straight win

Spring Valley rolled to its 10th straight win on Wednesday, crushing visiting Brookland-Cayce 77-37.

Xylina McDaniel paced Spring Valley with 16 points, five rebounds and three assists. Freshman Asia Dozier finished with 12 points, eight assists and three steals. Shaquita Walker chipped in 10 points and three assists. Briana Robinson had another solid outing with eight points, three assists and three steals. Jocelyn Lawrence and Ciara Robinson shared rebounding honors with six boards apiece.

For the second game in a row, the Vikings got off to a great start. SV rang up 26 points on Tuesday vs. Sumter, and erupted for 27 points last night in the opening eight minutes.

The Vikings travel to face district rival Blythewood on Friday in the Region 4-4A opener for both teams.
