The Blythewood and Dreher wrestling teams had their most noteworthy outings of the season last weekend at the Hardee’s Blue Devil Invitational tournament.
Host Dreher had two individual place finishers and ended up with a team score of 97.50 pointys, good for ninth place in the 27-team field. Corey Johnson and Justin Cook were the top Blue Devil entries. Johnson shared third place at 152 pounds with Ridge View’s Tommy Watson, and Cook was fourth at 160.
Blythewood finished 14th in the team standings with 89.5 points, but the big Bengals news was the championship effort by Keith Harding at 145. Shawn Day and Tom Arnett also got into the placement act with third-place ties at 119 and 125, respectively.
