Lee, Proveaux, Walker excel in WK's busy week on the mats

White Knoll enjoyed a success week on the mats, beating Midlands rivals Irmo (41-20) and Chapin (37-29, and turning in a solid, third-place showing at the Heathwood Hall Duals on Saturday. The Timberwolves went 3-1 in pool matches, downing Chesnee, Hammond and A.C. Flora, but missed a chance at wrestling for the championship with a loss to Bluffton. WK, however, bounced back to take consolation honors with a 34-31 victory against Mitchell (NC).

Shane Lee, Brandon Proveaux and Skylar Walker had excellent individual showing during the busy week. Lee went 7-0 with six pins, while Proveaux, the top-ranked 215-pound wrestler in Class 4A, was 4-0 with four pins. Walker checked in at 6-1 with four pins.
