Freshman sensations Asia Dozier and Xyline McDaniel carried the show for the Spring Valley Wednesday in a 56-36 Region 4-4A girls basketball win over South Pointe in Rock Hill.
It was the 14th win in a row for the youthful Vikings (15-1, 3-0), who dealt the Stallions their first region loss.
Dozier rang up 19 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals. McDaniel finished with 18 points, shooting 9-for-13 from the field and at the free-throw line, four rebounds and three steals.
Shaquita Walker chipped in seven points, seven steals and four assists to the cause. Briana Robinson tallied just one point, but was helpful with four rebounds, three assists and five steals.

Spring Valley shot 53% overall from the field, and was a sizzling 22-for-34 from inside the 3-point arc (65%). The Vikings came up with 23 steals on defense.
SV hosts Rock Hill in region play on Friday.
