Camden boys stay put in 6-3A top spot

Camden did what it had to do on Friday night, now the Bulldogs will wait for the outcome of tonight’s Marlboro County-Wilson clash to find out which team they will share first place with heading into the second half of the Region 6-3A boys basketball campaign.

The Bulldogs topped Marlboro County 54-49 Friday at home to finish the first half of the conference season at 4-1. Evrik Gary and Josh Council shared scoring home for Camden with 14 points apiece, while Jay Council finished with 13. Jay Council leads the ‘Dogs in region play with a 19.0 scoring average, followed by Gary at 16.2 ppg and Josh Council at 15.0 ppg.

Camden stands at 15-1 overall, 4-1 in region game. The Wilson-MC winner will be the other 4-1 team at the midway point.
