FC Eagles top Barons, stake sole claim to first place in SCISA 3-3A

Florence Christian assumed sole possession of first place in SCISA Region 3-3A boys basketball by pulling off a 57-52 win Tuesday at Wilson Hall.

The Eagles (15-4, 4-0) received 16 points from David Waring and 10 from Jordan Washington during the big win. Matthew Meggs and Matt Prosser chipped in nine and eight points, respectively.

The host Barons (12-4, 3-1) were paced by Reid Schwartz’s 13 points. No other WH player make it to double digits.

Wilson Hall's girls tyeam, ranked No. 1 in the latest SCISA poll, romp by a 57-24 margin in the opener as senior center Kendall Painter had 16 points and seven rebounds.

Wilson Hall opens the second half of the region campaign Friday at Orangeburg Prep, while the Eagles draw a bye.
