Wilson Hall’s boys and girls basketball team advanced to the championship game of the SCISA Region 3-3A tournament with Monday semifinal wins. The tournament concludes tonight with a doubleheader at the Sumter Exhibition Center.
The Barons girls dismantled Laurence Manning 56-38 on Monday to improve to 18-4 on the season. Wilson Hall overcame a sluggish first-half performance with a 38-19 burst in the second half featuring a 10-0 run at the end of the third quarter.
Kendall Painter led Wilson Hall with 14 points, Molly Kinney added 11 and Ansley Ard and Ryane Kinder chipped in nine points apiece.
Wilson Hall faces Orangeburg Prep in tonight’s tournament finale. The teams split during the regular season to share the region championship. OP breezed by Robert E. Lee 73-48 on Monday.

Reid Schwartz scored 12 points as the Wilson Hall boys rolled to a 65-35 semifinal win over Orangeburg Prep. The Barons (18-4) square off against Florence Christian in the tournament tile game tonight.
WH won the regular-season region champion by a two-game margin over FC.
Region 3 is the only SCISA Class 3A group that opted to retain its region tournament this season with the expansion of the independent schools playoffs to 16 teams.
