Site: Cecil Woolbright Field. Time: 7:30 p.m.

Mid-Carolina notes: The Rebels have been hit recently by a wave of illness and injury, but are off to a 3-1 start after taking Pelion 29-12 last week … M-C is very much a run-first team. Veteran Krishwn Holey has 350 yards and is averaging 7.9 yards per carry. Clarence Turner and Quin Cureton are the other prime running options.

Chapin notes: The Eagles improved to 4-0 under first-year coach Scott Earley. For the second week in a row Chapin needed a fourth-quarter rally to remain unbeaten ... Last week at Newberry, Michael Weimer’s 17-yard touchdown pass to Victor Frick with 7:27 to go in the game tied the score at 10-10. Frick had a game-winning, 10-yard touchdown run with 1:26 remaining. Chapin had all three of its third-down conversions in the game on the go-ahead drive … Weimer was 13-for-24 passing in the game for 141 yards and one TD. Frick had five catches for 57 yards and four run for 20 more … Weimer is 52-for-94 for 787 yards and nine TDs to date. Frick has 20 catches for 269 yards and has scored nine touchdowns in all … The Eagles kicking game has been solid. Joe Rister is averaging 37.7 yards per punt, and Colden king if 16-for-16 in PATs and 2-for-3 in field goals. King’s 32-yard field goal in the third quarter bounced off the left upright and through got Chapin on the board last week at Newberry.

Series history: Chapin has won 10 straight vs. the neighboring Rebels and enjoys a commanding 29-11 lead in the series since 1970. M-C’s last win over the Eagles was by a 33-13 count in 1998.
