Andrew Jackson notes: The veteran Volunteers fell to 2-3 last week in a turnover-filled 47-23 loss at Camden … AJ is a senior dominated team, and one that expects to make a run at one of the top two spots in Region 4-2A this season after finishing third behind Central and Keenan a year ago … Junior Darrien Henderson and freshman Tripp Rollings both see time at quarterback. Henderson is also used at running back and wide receiver. Last week, Henderson had 94 yards rushing, caught four passes and scored three touchdowns.

Eau Claire: The Shamrocks fell to 0-5 last week, dropping a 32-14 decision to Pelion after sitting out Week 4 with a bye … EC is struggling on offense, averaging 195.6 yards and 7.8 points a game. The defense is allowing 288.5 yards and 35 points a game … Wayne Henderson leads the team in rushing (198 yards, 5.0 average) and scoring (three touchdowns, 20 points) and has three receptions for 97 yards. Jordan Stuckey is 26-for-58 passing for 340 yards and three TDs. Marquise Jones is the top receiver with 11 catches for 170 yards … Carlos Dubose and Richard Costellano are the top tacklers with 55 and 45 stops, respectively. Alex Capell has two sacks.

Series history: The Volunteers gave EC a rude welcome to 2A football last season, prevailing 28-7 in Kershaw in the Shamrock’s first-ever 2A region game.
