Camden climbs into Class 3A top 10

Camden moved in and four other Midlands teams fell completely out of this week's state football rankings.

Camden (7-2) entered the weekly Prep Writers Poll 3A rankings at No. 9 after the Bulldogs defeated Lakewood 38-13. Camden will travel to Bennettsville on Friday to take on Marlboro County for the region championship.

Falling out of the 3A rankings this week were Chapin and Fairfield-Central, which face off this week. Other Midlands teams leaving their respective top 10s after losses were Blythewood (4A) and Columbia (2A),
