Dutch Fork heavyweight Marshall Williams puts his undefeated record on the line at the Wildcat Duals event this week at Lexington. The Silver Foxes senior is off to a 19-0 start, winning the 285-pound title at Lugoff-Elgin’s MPCU Holiday Classic tournament and emerging unscathed at the Smokey Mountain Duals in Pigeon Forge (TN) prior to the Christmas break.
A.J. Finley and Zach Bregovi were the other Silver Foxes that placed at the Lugoff-Elgin tournament. Finley finished third at 125 and Bregovi was sixth at 152. Sam Groose and Austin Koon fell just short of qualifying for a place finish.
Dutch Fork finished 13th in the MPCU Holiday Classic team standings, fourth at the Smokey Mountain Duals.
The Silver Foxes also dropped a tough 35-29 decision to Lexington in the Region 5-4A opener for both teams on Dec. 16. DF is 1-2 in regular season dual matches.
