Hometown Heroes: Lucas Hargrove

Auburn senior forward Lucas Hargrove (Richland Northeast): Had 14 points, four rebounds, three assists, three blocks, three steals in 94-78 win over Alabama State. Averaging 13.2 points, team-high 7.1 rebounds for 6-6 Tigers.

College of Charleston junior guard Jordan Turok (Chapin): Has played in three games for 3-6 Cougars.

Mississippi Valley State junior forward Shannon Behling (Columbia High): Averaging 8.8 points, team-high 4.6 rebounds with nine 3-pointers for 1-9 Delta Devils.

South Carolina senior guard Robert Wilder (Chapin): Has scored two points in seven games for 8-3 Gamecocks.

Armstrong Atlantic State senior forward Marquise Duvall (Spring Valley): Averaging 5.2 points, 3.8 rebounds for 4-4 Pirates.

Coker College freshman guard Marshall Cabbagestalk (Sumter Crestwood): Has played in two games for 4-4 Cobras.

Coker College junior guard Vatrick Thompson (White Knoll): Tops Cobras with 15.6 points per game and 20 steals, has made 17 of 61 (27.9 pct.) of 3-pointers.

Florida Southern senior forward John Thompson (White Knoll): Leads No. 2-ranked Moccasins (9-0) in scoring (15.2) and rebounding (8.7). Shooting .589 from field.

Francis Marion sophomore guard Mark Sinkler (Lugoff-Elgin): Has scored three points in four games for 8-1 Patriots.

USC-Aiken junior guard Byron Faison (Sumter Crestwood): Second in scoring (12.6), first in 3-pointers (17) for 5-3 Pacers.

South Carolina-Aiken freshman guard Ronald Zimmerman (Spring Valley): Has played in four games.

South Carolina-Aiken sophomore guard Sterling Council (Camden): Averaging 7.0 points, 3.0 rebounds.

College of Coastal Georgia sophomore guard Antonio Tribble (Newberry): Leads 5-9 Mariners with 17.9 points, 5.0 assists, 2.6 steals per game.


Charleston Southern sophomore forward LeChell Rush (Lee Central): Three points, seven rebounds, four blocks in 66-51 win over Savannah State. Averaging 6.6 points, 4.9 rebounds for 6-4 Buccaneers.

Clemson freshman guard Ashlee Wilson (Chapin): Has played in one game for 9-4 Tigers.

Coastal Carolina sophomore guard Olivia Irick (Keenan): Scoring 6.9 points per game for 8-3 Chanticleers.

College of Charleston senior center Deidra Jones (Dutch Fork): Nine points, seven rebounds in 68-61 win over Western Carolina. Averaging 9.3 points, team-high 7.8 rebounds for 8-3 Cougars.

Duke senior guard/forward Keturah Jackson (Dreher): Three points, three rebounds, four steals in 75-34 win over Maine. Averaging 5.8 points, 4.0 rebounds. Second on No. 8-ranked Duke (9-2) in assists (27) and steals (29).

High Point junior guard Frances Fields (Sumter): Four points, four assists, two rebounds, two steals in 75-68 win over Florida. Tops 6-6 Panthers with 51 assists, 22 steals. Averaging 6.2 points, 3.3 rebounds.

IUPUI sophomore guard Janna Eichelberger (Airport): Had 13 points, seven rebounds three blocks in 88-68 loss to Murray State. Averaging 5.6 points, 4.4 rebounds for 1-10 Jaguars.

Maryland-Eastern Shore junior center Alicia Green (Ridge View): Averaging 1.4 points, 2.4 rebounds for 1-4 Hawks.

Morehead State senior guard Tiffanie Stephens (Richland Northeast): Averaging 6.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, with 18 3-pointers for 9-4 Eagles.

South Carolina State junior guard Mary-Regina Baker (A.C. Flora): Has played in six games for the 4-6 Bulldogs.

South Carolina State freshman guard Tiara Knotts (A.C. Flora): Averaging 5.3 points, 2.7 rebounds.

South Carolina State sophomore guard Whitney Wiley (Spring Valley): Averaging 9.0 points, 2.0 rebounds.

Francis Marion freshman guard Kristen Dickerson (Blythewood Heathwood Hall): Averaging 1.7 points for 9-1 Patriots.

Wingate junior forward Erica Crumlin (Dutch Fork): Averaging 5.2 points, 4.7 rebounds for 6-3 Bulldogs.

Georgia College & State University junior forward Deja Montgomery (Dutch Fork): Averaging 3.9 points, 2.8 rebounds for 5-3 Bobcats.

Newberry College sophomore guard Keisha Henderson (Blythewood): Scoring 1.4 points per game.

Newberry College freshman guard Amelia Dozier (Spring Valley): Has played in four games.

Newberry College junior forward Briana Johnson (Irmo): Averaging 3.2 points, 3.3 rebounds.


Clemson senior guard Thomas Austin (Camden) and freshman center Dalton Freeman (Pelion): Started and helped Tigers gain 321 yards in 21-13 win over Kentucky in Music City Bowl.

Kentucky freshman defensive end Taylor Wyndham (Swansea): Selected to the CollegeFootballNews.com Freshman All-American third team and The Sporting News Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team. Had 27 tackles, 6.5 for loss, two quarterback sacks, two pass breakups for Wildcats.

Mars Hill senior offensive lineman Josh Sims (Sumter Crestwood): Named to All-South Atlantic Conference first team.

Mars Hill senior defensive back Keadron Pinckney (North): Named to All-South Atlantic Conference third team.

Kentucky senior defensive back Calvin Harrison (Richland Northeast): One tackle against Clemson.
