Lower Richland at Chester

6 p.m. Friday

With a win in this Region 4-3A finale, Lower Richland (14-6, 7-2) would wrestle the title from Chester, which is coming off a loss to A.C. Flora. A Chester win would give the Diamond Hornets the No. 3 seed.

Lower Richland has won four in a row since its loss to Chester (20-2, 8-1) on Jan. 22. In that game, a 45-44 decision, Lower Richland seniors Jasmine Harrison and Ashley Edmond combined for 22 points, and no other player scored more than six.

This time, the Diamond Hornets will need Harrison, their most experienced guard, to score closer to her season average of 24 and for the bench to produce more.

Blythewood at Ridge View

6:45 p.m. Friday

Ridge View (11-9, 5-4) has a firm hold on second place in Region 4-4A, and a win could give it momentum heading into the postseason. The Blazers (16-5, 6-2) had games at South Pointe and Rock Hill this week, so fatigue could be an issue.
