4A Boys pregame: Lexington vs. Gaffney

WHEN: 8:30 p.m.

WHERE: Colonial Life Arena

RECORDS: Lexington 25-5, Gaffney 25-2

COACHES: Bailey Harris, Lexington; Mark Huff, Gaffney

TICKETS: Available at Box Office for $10

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Lexington has dictated tempo throughout the playoffs and that will be key here. Gaffney is streaky and if Josh Corry, voted one of the top 5 seniors in the preseason, gets hot, the Indians feed of that and play up tempo. Corry is more of a shooter than inside presence, so the Wildcats can't let him get rolling. Shaq Roland should be able to get to the rim, which is what he does best for Lexington. The Wildcats could have an advantage with Matt Jergenson inside.

BOTTOM LINE

Lexington had a tough road to reach the finals. If the Wildcats continue to control the tempo and knock down open 3's, they could be hanging a championship banner in their first title game appearance in 10 years.
