Collins Bradshaw and A.C. Flora overcame less-than-optimal playing conditions on Monday at a 14-team invitational golf tournament hosted by Easley High.
Bradshaw emerged with medallist honors, while the Falcons finished in third place behind Easley and Wren, another Upstate Class 4A power.
Bradshaw scoffed at the rain, and emerged with a four stroke margin of victory over Riley Lovern of T.L. Hanna. The ACF team leader carded a 1-under-par round of 71.
The Falcons finished with a team score of 329 strokes to lead all Class 3A entries. Easley won the tournament title with a score of 324, while runner-up Wren finish with a 327.
Lauren Dunbar (81), Virginia Lesslie (85) and Kathryn Huntley (92) were the Falcons other scoring starters.
The Falcons’ next major outing will be at the Smith Memorial tournament on Monday at Timberlake Country Club. The event, hosted by Brookland-Cayce and Chapin, is also a fundraiser for the “Rally for the Cure” cause.
