Gilbert swept the team titles at the Region 3-2A cross country championship meet on Wednesday.
The Indians edged Eau Claire 37-46 in the boys division and beat out the Shamrock by an even healthier margin, 25-57, on the girls side.
Jerry Castro (3rd), Matt Helm (5th) and Matt Isaac (7th) earned all-region honors, while Alex Derrick (9th) and Matt Bostic (13th) took care of the rest of the scoring for the winning Tribe.
Eau Claire’s Omar Sharif was the individual champion, checking in with a winning time of 17:39.36. Teammate A.J. Caldwell (6th) also rated all-region recognition.

Derrick Amick of Batesburg-Leesville was the only non-Gilbert, non-EC runner to earn a spot on the all-region team. Amick made the cut with a fourth-place finish.
Brooke Craft ran to the individual title while the Gilbert girls to a first place finish. Craft clocked in at 21:33.28. Nicole Biles and Eryn Price fell in behind Craft, placing second and third, respectively.
Katie Counts (4th), Alkiever Cannon (5th) and Bailey Dawkins (6th) of Batesburg-Leesville and Eau Claire’s Tyesha Williams (7th) were the other all-region runners.
