GOOSE CREEK Sean Jones returned an interception 61 yards to close the scoring and also tallied a safety in the first quarter as Goose Creek wrapped up the Region 7-4A championship with a 23-8 victory against Wando.
Running back Jerome Jordan also posted 14 carries for 143 yards and a touchdown for the Gators as he crossed the 1,000-yard mark for the season.
Goose Creek improves to 9-0, 4-0 with non-conference games against Ashley Ridge and Beaufort remaining.
Wando falls to 5-4, 1-1.The Warriors host Fort Dorchester next.

TIMBERLAND 24, BISHOP ENGLAND 17
At St. Stephen, Taylor Elizondo hit Lee Mayes with a 41-yard touchdown for the go-ahead score in the third quarter, and Byron Mayes added a 4-yard scoring run and two-point conversion to lift Timberland.
Bishop England kicker Drew Costa kicked a 37-yard field goal in the third, but the Bishops could not close the gap.
The Wolves improve to 9-0, 4-0. Bishop England falls to 4-5, 1-3.
ROBERT E. LEE 21, PEE DEE ACADEMY 6
At Bishopville, Zach Haithcock returned a fumble 38 yards for a touchdown, Thres Watson rushed 35 times for 128 yards and Robert E. Lee rolled.
The Cavaliers (4-5) play at Calhoun Academy next week.
DORMAN 35, J.L. MANN 7
At Greenville, Raymond Smith rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown, and Adam Humphries scored three touchdowns to lead the Cavaliers.
Clemson recruit Charone Peake had four catches for 49 yards and added a 36-yard run for Dorman, but Humphries was the main offensive threat with scoring runs of 3 and 5 yards and a 63-yard catch from Nelson Hughes for the Cavs (9-0).
CENTRAL 45, ANDREW JACKSON 0
At Pageland, Mardu Smith tallied 166 yards and two touchdowns rushing on 10 carries, and Central held Andrew Jackson (3-6, 1-3 Region 4-2A) to 27 yards of offense.
Jowan Henderson passed for 116 yards and two touchdowns, and Radford Robinson added 80 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Eagles (9-0, 4-0).
NEWBERRY 28, EMERALD 21
At Newberry, Kadeem Counts rushed 30 times for 189 yards and two touchdowns as Newberry coach Phil Strickland recorded his 250th career victory.
Newberry jumped to a 20-0 lead in the first quarter, but Emerald responded with 21 straight points before the Bulldogs scored the game-winner on Tyler Bishop’s 14-yard pass to Devonte Brooks at the start of the fourth quarter.
Newberry (4-5, 3-1 in Region 2-2A) travels to Mid-Carolina next week.
DILLON CHRISTIAN 13, ST. JOHN’S 10
At Monck’s Corner, John Michael Bullock had four carries for 47 yards and a touchdown and added an interception to lead Dillon.
Defensively, Andrew Campbell had 15 tackles and an interception, and Will Shelley added 15 tackles.
Dillon Christian improves to 3-7 and St. John’s falls to 1-8.
Next week, Dillon Christian plays at The Byrnes School, and St. John’s plays host to St. Paul.
MCBEE 48, NORTH CENTRAL 12
At McBee, Greg McDonald and Rashad Reed each had two touchdowns to lead McBee.
Tavarus Porter had both touchdowns for the Eagles.
McBee improves to 4-5, 3-1 and North Central falls to 1-8, 0-4.
McBee plays at Chesterfield next week.
PATRICK HENRY 90, FAITH CHRISTIAN 20
At Faith Christian, Summerville, Austin Rowell rushed for 261 yards and seven touchdowns on 14 carries to lead Patrick Henry.
Freshman Joseph Wilson added nine carries for 48 yards and one touchdown, and Sheldon Swofford had two carries for 64 yards and two touchdowns for Patrick Henry.
Defensively, C.J. Sheffield had eight tackles, seven for loss, and Kyle Johnson had six tackles for the Patriots.
Patrick Henry improves to 6-4, 4-1 and Faith Christian falls to 1-8, 0-5.
Next week, Patrick Henry hosts Clarendon Hall, and Faith Christian travels to Beaufort Academy.
WREN 20, T.L. HANNA 17 (2OT)
At Wren, Jonathan Anderson hit a 27-yard field goal in the second overtime to lift Wren. Anderson hit a 28-yard field goal to tie the game in the first overtime.
Wren forced overtime in the fourth quarter on a 40-yard touchdown pass from Austin McCaskill to Elliott Caldwell. McCaskill finished 20-for-40 for 155 yards to pace Wren (6-3).
Will Gay had 173 yards rushing and a touchdown to lead T.L. Hanna (6-3).
BYRNES SCHOOL 48, RICHARD WINN 6
At Florence, Clay Dickson completed 10-of-14 passes for 319 yards and three touchdowns to lead Byrnes School.
Dickson also returned an interception 54 yards for a touchdown and rushed for a touchdown.
Byrnes (8-2, 4-1) plays host to Dillon Christian next week. Richard Winn (0-9) next faces Dorchester Academy.
WADE HAMPTON (G) 38, SOUTHSIDE 6
At Southside, Hakeem Flowers caught a 99-yard touchdown pass from Capers Williamson to lead Wade Hampton (8-1).
Flowers finished with four catches for 145 yards and a score, while Williamson was 7-of-11 passing for 221 yards and two touchdowns.
Southside fell to 1-8.
