Columbia’s boys basketball team opens the 2010-11 season on Tuesday night at home against Brookland-Cayce. The Capitals are looking to improve on last season’s 10-12 showing.
With four returning starters, Columbia hopes to be more of a threat to region powers Keenan and Eau Claire this winter.
“With the experience we have coming back from last year we should be able to turn some of those losses into more wins,” said veteran coach Mark Kirlough, who is 229-175 in 16 seasons at the Capitals helm.
Columbia will build around veterans Justin Metze. McArtha Thompson, Casey Gladney and Marcus Praylow.
