Spring Valley closed the first phase of the 2010-11 girls basketball in impressive fashion on Thursday at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The Vikings improved to 13-0 by storming from behind to beat Troy High from Fullerton, CA, 53-42.
The Californians had a 25-24 lead at halftime, but Spring Valley ruled the second half.
In the end, the Vikings had their best offensive game of the tournament, converting 17 of 34 field goal attempts.
Asia Dozier and Xylina McDaniel set the tone for Spring Valley. Dozier scored a game high 17 points and had five rebounds. McDaniel just missed a double-double – ringing up 14 points and nine rebounds.
