Gracyn Burgess continued her strong play over the summer with another championship.
The Lexington senior and Clemson commit won the 61st annual Carolinas Junior Girls Championship, which wrapped up Thursday at the Country Club of South Carolina in Florence.
Burgess shot a 2-under 70 in the final round and finished with a three-day total 3-under, 213. She was four strokes better than Elle Johnson and Jodee Tindal.
The championship was Burgess fourth for the summer and she became the first junior girls’ golfer in Carolinas history to win Carolinas Junior Girls, Twin States Junior Girls' Championship and Vicki DiSantis Girls in the same year. She also won the WSCGA Junior Girls' Championship, finished in the top three in two other events and was on part of the winning team Mid Atlantic Junior Girls squad.
