When the Met Gala rolls around, most of us aren’t climbing those iconic steps—but we are definitely breaking down every look, moment by moment. And this year, one debut in particular has everyone talking: Stevie Nicks.

The Fleetwood Mac legend, 77, made her first Met Gala appearance in a custom John Galliano for Zara look that perfectly channeled her signature moody, witchy aesthetic. It was a fitting extension of the style she’s embodied for decades, both on and off stage.

Nicks is, of course, best known for her work with Fleetwood Mac, delivering timeless classics like “Dreams,” “Landslide,” “Rhiannon,” and “Silver Springs.” After the band’s split, she built an equally celebrated solo career with hits like “Edge of Seventeen” and “Leather and Lace,” cementing her status as a rock icon.

And while fashion was front and center for her Met Gala moment, Nicks also found time to do what she does best—sing—joining one of today’s biggest pop stars for a surprise performance that had the room buzzing.

The Met’s official Instagram gave viewers at home an up close look at what went on inside the ritzy gala when they shared a video of Stevie Nicks performing “Landslide,” and once fellow Grammy winner Sabrina Carpenter joined her onstage, the beloved track reached an entirely new level.

The heartfelt rendition isn’t the first big collaboration Carpenter has participated in as of late, for she’s just teamed up with Madonna on “Bring Your Love.”

Stevie Nicks tour rumors circulating

After that stellar Met Gala performance, as well as the fact that Nicks just celebrated 25 years since the release of her album Trouble in Shangri-La, folks are wondering if a tour could be in order for the songstress, and considering the fact that she hasn’t slowed down in decades, we certainly wouldn’t be surprised!

Just a few days ago, the singer performed at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, and while she currently doesn’t have any upcoming live shows, we’re hoping that changes very soon!

On a Reddit thread from around five months ago, one fan shared, “She said at the end of our concert last month ‘I’ll be back, this isn’t the last time I’ll be performing here,’ so I assume something is getting planned.”

Whether you’ve been a devoted fan since the Fleetwood Mac days or you’re just discovering Stevie’s magic after that stunning Met Gala moment, one thing is clear: at 77, she’s proving that talent, style and star power are truly timeless.
