Midlands People & Achievements: Dr. Shawn Stinson

Dr. Shawn Stinson has been appointed vice president of clinical innovation and chief medical officer of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, headquartered in Columbia. He will lead BlueCross’ collaboration with the South Carolina medical community to transform health care to improve individual’s care experience, improve population health and reduce costs. He replaces Dr. Laura Long, who retired in December.
