Lilly Pulitzer corporate members meet and greet at Pink Sorbet

On the eve of the Carolina Cup, ladies will be scrounging for the perfect sundress to wear to the Camden horse race.

In fact, the day before the event is one of the busiest days of the year for Pink Sorbet, a Lilly Pulitzer signature store on Devine Street.

“This is our Christmas,” said store owner Beth Baxley.

People often decide they are going to the event last minute, she said.

If they stop by the shop on Friday they can meet corporate members of the company, including vice president Susan Hill at Pink Sorbet from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday.

And for the 70 percent chance of rain that’s called for in the area on Saturday, shoppers can even pick up a Lilly umbrella – ranging from the fold-up size to fit in a tote or golf-size to shield a family of four.
